The farms renovations began January of 2004. With the help of Pleasant View Builders, LLC we were able to install 28 new
posts and beams to structurally stabilize our large 140 year old bank barn. After three months of major construction we designed
our future stall area.
After months of research we found Sunset Valley Metal Craft and they custom built each stall to our specifications. We
were able to design 12 over sized stalls which consists of three large 12X16 foaling stalls, two 14X16 stallion
stalls, 7 oversized stalls, two grooming stalls with rubber mats and a large wash stall with hot water. Each stall
has over 12 inches of drainage with equi-terr, removable yokes and water gates for safety. Our extra wide isle with cobble
stone is a a non-slip isle way.
Attached to our bank barn is an 80X80 indoor arena with many new renovations to come. On the north side of the arena we
have removed 5 stalls and will be in the process in late fall to build a 10X 40 tack room with lockers, storage for horse
blankets and a 10X20 grain/utility room. On the south side of the barn we will in the future, design a full bathroom, 10X20
kitchen and a 10X30 observatory/lounge . When we expand the arena an additional 50 feet, we will include a 10X30 office.
Along with the construction of the barn, we removed all the old electric and installed a brand new electrical system, as
well as, water system.
During the latter part of April, we were able to construct our full size outdoor dressage arena with the help of Baltimore
Pile and Marine Excavating. We will be using this arena for clinics and shows with MDA. Next to our dressage arena we will
be installing a very large natural footing jumper course. We wanted to provide our clients the most flexible, convenient riding
atmosphere as possible. We wanted to have designated arenas for each discipline. We will also install a 60 foot round
pen in the future.
Along with our lower bank barn, we have a 60 foot long loafing shed that will be gutted and made into 5 oversized stalls
with it’s own tack room, grooming and wash area.
Bordering our barns, we have three large lush pastures with streams, three mare and foal paddocks and two small pony/foal
paddocks. Our turn out is small and gender based. We believe in offering the best and safest situations for our equine friends.
The best part of being in a rural area with lots of space is the opportunity to get on horse back and trail for hours along
the banks of the Susquehanna, through lush fields and many acres of woods.
We believe in providing many different opportunities under one roof.
